Privacy Policy.
We build marketing systems you actually own — and we treat your data the same way. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. In plain terms: we use first-party tools only, we don’t run ad pixels or cross-site trackers, and we don’t sell or share your personal information.
Last updated: August 19, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how BlackMine LLC (“BlackMine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit blackmine.dev (the “Site”) or contact us. It applies to visitors, prospective clients, and anyone who submits information through the Site.
Our approach is deliberately restrained. We use first-party tools only. We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, the Meta/Facebook pixel, or any third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not sell or “share” (as those terms are defined under California law) your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
This policy works alongside our Cookie Policy, our Your Privacy Rights & Do Not Sell or Share page, and our Terms of Service.
2. Who we are
BlackMine LLC is a Christ-centered digital marketing agency serving small-business owners, ministry leaders, and faith-driven founders. Our promise is simple: we build it, you own it, and we teach your team to run it. We help mission-driven founders turn scattered marketing tools and data they don’t control into one system they do.
BlackMine is based in and operates from the State of Ohio, USA, and serves clients across the United States. We are the controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us any time at info@blackmine.dev.
3. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Site, understand how people find and use it, and respond when you reach out. Specifically:
First-party cookies
Cookies set by blackmine.dev itself (never by an outside advertiser). These support analytics and on-site personalization:
bb_vid— an anonymous visitor identifier.bb_segment— an assigned audience segment used to personalize the content you see.bb_vc— a visit counter.bb_session— a 30-minute session flag.bb_consent— stores your own cookie-consent choices.
Consent is required before we set the non-essential cookies. See the Cookie Policy for the full, categorized list.
Analytics events
Logged to our own database (not a third-party analytics platform): page views, content views, scroll depth, time on page, CTA/offer clicks, device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop — derived from your browser’s user-agent), and approximate traffic source.
Attribution
UTM parameters, the referring URL, and detection of AI-assistant referrals (for example, when you arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Gemini). We use this to understand where our visitors come from.
On-site personalization
An assigned visitor “segment” tailors which content and messages we show you on the Site.
Lead and contact information you submit
If you fill out a form — such as the footer “get a free audit” form or another lead form — we collect your email address and any other information you choose to include. We use it to respond and follow up with you.
Booking a call
Our “Book a call” link goes to Calendly (calendly.com/blackmine/blackminecoffeecall). If you book, Calendly collects the information you enter under Calendly’s own privacy policy. We receive the booking details you provide so we can meet with you.
5. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- Understand how visitors find and use the Site (first-party analytics only).
- Personalize the content and messages you see on the Site.
- Respond to your inquiries and follow up on your requests.
- Send transactional and, where permitted, marketing emails — from which you can opt out at any time.
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your information to build cross-site advertising profiles, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
6. We do not sell or share your personal information
BlackMine does not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), or under comparable state laws. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone, including consumers under 16.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. We still honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (see Section 11), and you retain all the rights described below. For a focused summary, see our Your Privacy Rights & Do Not Sell or Share page.
7. Service providers
We rely on a small set of trusted service providers (processors) to operate the Site. They process personal information only on our behalf and only to provide their service to us. These are the only third parties involved:
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website hosting, CDN, edge delivery, and security/DDoS protection. May process your IP address and request metadata. This is essential infrastructure. |
| Supabase | Database hosting, where our analytics events and lead data are stored. |
| Resend | Sends transactional and email messages — only if you provide your email address. |
| Calendly | Third-party scheduling — used only if you choose to book a call. Calendly processes the information you enter under its own privacy policy. |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BlackMine, our clients, or others.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required to comply with our legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. For example, lead and contact information is retained while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterward; analytics data is retained in aggregate. When we no longer have a business or legal reason to keep information that identifies you, we remove or anonymize it.
9. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) gives you specific rights over your personal information. In the preceding twelve months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
| Category (CCPA) | Examples we collect | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Email address (if you submit it), anonymous visitor ID, IP address (processed by our host). | Respond to you; operate and secure the Site. |
| Internet / network activity | Page views, content views, scroll depth, time on page, CTA clicks, referrer, UTM parameters. | First-party analytics and personalization. |
| Commercial information | Records of inquiries, services you express interest in, booking details. | Respond to and follow up on your requests. |
| Inferences | An assigned audience “segment” and device type. | On-site personalization. |
We collect this information from you directly, from your interactions with the Site, and from our service providers. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or other sensitive personal information through the Site, and we do not use personal information to infer characteristics.
As a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Delete — request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — although, as noted, we do not sell or share personal information.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — although we do not collect sensitive personal information for such uses.
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise your rights. Email info@blackmine.dev with your request. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity — typically by confirming you control the email address associated with your request — before acting. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of your written permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
10. Other U.S. state privacy rights
We extend the same core privacy rights to residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), Montana (MCDPA), Florida (FDBR), Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, and New Jersey — and to residents of other states as such laws take effect.
Depending on your state, you generally have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it.
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
- Delete personal data you provided or we obtained.
- Obtain a portable copy of your personal data.
- Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling — none of which we engage in.
Right to appeal. If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response or emailing info@blackmine.dev with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond with our decision and the reasons for it within the time your state’s law requires. If your appeal is denied, many states allow you to contact your state Attorney General to file a complaint.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@blackmine.dev. We will verify your request as described in Section 9.
11. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
BlackMine honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser opt-out signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as required in California, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states. Because we do not sell or share personal information in the first place, a GPC signal does not change how we handle your data — but we recognize and respect it. GPC is available through certain browsers and extensions; when we detect it, we treat it as a valid opt-out preference signal.
12. Federal notices (COPPA, CAN-SPAM)
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at info@blackmine.dev and we will delete it.
CAN-SPAM Act
Any marketing emails we send include a clear way to unsubscribe. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by emailing info@blackmine.dev. We honor opt-out requests promptly. We may still send you non-marketing, transactional messages related to your requests.
13. Children
Our services are intended for business owners and organizations, not individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 for the purpose of selling or sharing, and we do not target the Site to minors.
14. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including reputable hosting, encrypted connections, and access controls — to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information (such as passwords, financial account numbers, or government IDs) to us through the Site or by email.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
16. Contact us
Questions, requests, or concerns about this policy or your personal information? Email us at info@blackmine.dev. This is the single point of contact for all privacy and legal requests. We respond to legitimate requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
